Memory Keepers is a storytelling and comedy platform rooted in the Palestinian struggle as the central issue of settler colonialism in our time. We center Palestinian voices and create space for those resisting imperialism and colonialism across West Asia and beyond. Through live events, workshops, and multimedia content, we amplify narratives of resilience, foster connection, and build solidarity. By creating spaces where stories and comedy are shared and heard, we honor the transformative power of storytelling to heal, empower, and preserve memories.

Suzie started doing stand up and storytelling because no one read her blog. When she is not doing stand up, she pretends to exercise and is very busy not writing. Her long-term goal is be able to entertain from bed. @SuzieSaysSo

Majdy is a standup comedian based in Washington DC by way of Nablus Falasteen. He has performed at the DC Improv, the Kennedy Center and recently finished a 5 city comedy tour in the Middle East. He is also a 2x Moth Grandslam Storytelling Champion.

Lena is a recovering attorney turned financial advisor. When she’s not talking about social security strategies and investing, she writes comedic sketches and tells stories whenever she gets the chance. She has written and performed for the NY Arab American Comedy Festival and the Fringe NY.
Sharif Hasan
Sharif Hasan
Sharif is a New York based stand-up comedian and writer. His comedy explores what it’s like growing up as a Palestinian-Muslim in the U.S., finding humor in religion, racism, and politics. He currently produces and hosts Paid Protest, a monthly comedy show fundraiser in Brooklyn.
Shatha Yas
Shatha Yas
Shatha is a comedian, writer, and director born and raised in Palestine, and based in New York City. After working in foreign policy for 10 years, Shatha can now be seen performing standup and producing comedy shows and films around NY. In 2022, her solo show – I Did Something in Palestine – was selected for the inaugural SoHo Playhouse Lighthouse Series.
